North Charleston Police Officer Jonathan Donnelly is facing stage 5 kidney disease, requiring extensive medical treatments that prevent him from working and supporting his wife and children. His fight is an uphill battle, involving multiple organ donation surgeries before he can hope to recover and return to duty. To support Officer Donnelly and his family, the NYPD 10-13 Club of Charleston SC, in collaboration with the North Charleston Police Department, the City of North Charleston and the South Carolina FOP, is hosting a fundraiser on February 27, 2025, from 5pm-9pm at the Park Circle Community Center in North Charleston. There will be a live concert performance from South Carolina native and "The Voice" contestant , Dylan Carter. This event aims to ease the financial and emotional burdens on Jon’s family during this incredibly challenging time as they face catastrophic medical expenses. Please purchase a ticket for the event if you can attend, make a donation if you can not attend or purchase a raffle ticket( winner does not need to be present to win) to help us raise crucial funds and demonstrate your support for this brave officer and his family. All proceeds raised go directly to Jonathan and his family.
Let’s rally behind Jon and show him that our community stands strong together.
Your support is greatly appreciated!

Updates

I want to thank everyone who has donated so generously to our fundraiser. The event on February 27 was a huge success thanks in part to all who purchased tickets, raffle tickets and came out to support Jonathan. Dylan Carter and Kevin Carlton put on a great performance and the Charleston Pipes and Drums were a huge hit. Special thanks to Mayor Burgess and his staff at the City of North Charleston for their assistance with the event space. Huge thanks to the North Charleston PD for setting up the color guard and for coming out to support Jonathan. Thankful for the many PD agencies and the FOP who turned out and were extremely supportive. A most special thanks to Lindsey Perry, who donated her kidney to Jonathan, for attending and spreading the word for our fundraiser. We want to report also that Jonathan is doing spectacular since his transplant and attended and stayed to welcome everyone at the event against his Drs orders. He is on the road to getting back to work thanks to your generosity.
