Creating a parish wide Explorer Program

Hello, I’m Sgt. Timothy Bourque with the Abbeville Police Department in Louisiana. It’s been a personal goal of mine to start a program to bring the youths of my community together as well as the surrounding areas. I have several Officers that are wanting to help with this program as well as local ems and fire departments. My Officers as well as myself have gotten certified with the Boy Scouts of America and state to be able to take part in this program.  I’m trying to raise funds to help accomplish this goal. I’ve gained the approval of all the high schools in our parish to which they are exited for there students to join to not only accumulate community hours for school clubs but to be a part of the community in an outreach program. Some may want careers in law enforcement while others may just want to help the community. Currently I am attempting to locate a suitable building for rent to be a meeting area for members , chaperones , youths and school officials. I am also attempting to purchase  basic equipment needs such as uniforms, boots, traffic vests and some basic yard cleaning equipment( rakes, gloves etc.). I’ve donated some small funds myself to get started for flyers and some shirts that are currently being embroidered. Any help is greatly appreciated. That being said anybody that is willing to help sponsor this goal send me a name and mailing address and I’ll personally send a department patch and a shirt with the program logo and personalized to show that you are a sponsor as show of appreciation. I know it’s not much I would like to show my appreciation. I thank you for taking the time to read this. Stay safe out there !
