David Curtis tragically left us on July 4th, 2026. He was a beloved member of the Watertown community and Codington County Law Enforcement. Dave’s death was something Darce was not emotionally or financially prepared for. Dave, you are one of the great ones. You were so easy to talk to and laugh with. I will forever cherish the conversations we shared. You were the reason I looked forward to going to court because I knew I would get to talk with you and leave with a big smile. I will miss you old man and I look forward to seeing you again and sharing a laugh.
Darce, you are in my prayers for strength and peace as you move forward. Dave was a great guy and will be missed. Hugs to you.
I’ve known Dave since I was little, and even into adulthood, every time I saw him around town he would wave hello and greet me with the kindest smile.
Dave, you will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. You and Darcie were great neighbors to us. I will miss you dearly! Hugs to you Darcie.

I have fond memories spending time with Mitch and Dave growing up. Dave was always happy to see us whenever we ran into each other. Dave was an incredible man and will be missed.
