K9's For Freedom & Independence has been asked to help a very special Hero. This Hero gives of themselves to help other 1st Responders.
We were able to get a service dog candidate donated and the training to become a fully trained service dog donated as well. The only thing we have to cover is housing, food, vet care and transportation to get the dog to my friend and service dog trainer.
It can cost $30,000 to $50,000 per dog. If we can raise this money, the recipient will not have much if any out of pocket expenses to get the dog.
If everyone gives $5, we can easily raise the money needed.
This will be life changing for this Hero, to have a dog to help you gain control over your life by watching your 6 can be the thing that allows the Hero to finally rest and relax. Most of us take that for granted.
