Love for Bobby and the Connors Family
Nearly three years ago, our incredible community came together to support Bobby
and the Connors family after Bobby was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia (ALL). Through countless treatments, hospital stays, procedures, and
prayers, Bobby fought with a strength and courage that inspired everyone around
him.
In December 2025, we celebrated a milestone we had all been hoping for. Bobby
was declared cancer free.
Unfortunately, that victory was short lived. Bobby's leukemia has returned, and this time it has come back aggressively. He is currently receiving treatment at Stony Brook Children's Hospital, where doctors have confirmed that his relapse includes Leukemia in his Central Nervous System as well. Bobby is once again facing the fight of his life.
Bobby is the son of a dedicated NYPD Sergeant with 18 years of service currently assigned to the 101st precinct. His father is also a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served both active duty and reserves during the war on terror. Bobby’s mother is a devoted community advocate and Connetquot SEPTA board member who has spent every day by his side throughout this journey. Bobby’s big brother is an NYPD officer as well assigned to the 103rd precinct. Bobby’s family is no stranger to adversity. With roots in law enforcement, military service, and advocacy, they face challenges head on with strength, resilience, and determination.
Like so many parents would, they have put everything else on hold to focus on what matters most: helping their son fight this disease and giving him every opportunity to win this battle. The road ahead will include intensive treatments, extended hospital stays, blood and platelet transfusions, procedures, medications, and specialized care. While Bobby battles cancer, his family is carrying the emotional, physical, and financial burden that comes with being at the hospital, coordinating care, and supporting him through every step of treatment.
If you know Bobby, you know he is a fighter. He has already endured more than most people face in a lifetime, yet he continues to show courage, resilience, and determination every day.
Now it is our turn to fight for him. We are asking friends, family, neighbors,
fellow parents, members of the law enforcement community, the Connetquot
community, and anyone touched by Bobby's story to come together once again.
Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden of medical
expenses, travel costs, meals, lost income, and the many unexpected expenses
that accompany a prolonged hospital stay and ongoing treatment.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser, donating
blood at Stony Brook University Hospital, and keeping Bobby and the Connors
family in your thoughts and prayers.
Bobby has spent years fighting for his future. He fought his way into remission. He fought his way through treatments that no child should ever have to endure. Now, as he faces this devastating relapse, he needs all of us in his corner. It's time for us to fight for Bobby.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your support.
