Help Our Hero Officer Fight Stage 4 Cancer!
New York City Police Officer Joseph Wetzel, of Hauppauge, NY, is a true hero in every sense of the word. A dedicated first responder who has always put others before himself. On February 4th, while battling stage 4 cancer, he was sitting at a diner with his father when he witnessed a horrific two car head-on collision. Despite his illness and the toll of treatments, he didn't hesitate. He ran towards the danger and pulled a trapped driver from their overturned vehicle just before disaster struck, saving their lives in an act of extraordinary bravery.
That moment captures who he is: selfless, courageous, and never truly off-duty. Just as he never hesitated to help others, it’s now our turn to do the same for him and his family. Shortly after saving the life of the trapped motorist, Joseph received news that no cancer warrior ever wants to receive, “the cancer has spread”. Knowing his road to recovery has just gotten that-much-harder, he continues to fight and show tremendous courage in the face of danger, just like he’s done time and time again.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will go directly towards Joe’s medical costs and supporting his family through this battle. Please donate and share this page to show this incredible officer that our community has his back, just as he has always had ours!
