As someone who has dedicated my career to serving those who serve—our veterans, police officers, firefighters, teachers, and healthcare workers—I never imagined I’d be writing this kind of message. But today, I’m asking you to stand with a man I trust with my life, and more importantly, would trust with the lives of my four daughters.
My friend Evan Weaver is a police sergeant, a devoted father, a husband, and a faithful Christian. For more than 21 years, Evan served his community with honor and integrity. He’s the kind of man you want backing you up on the job, watching your six, or showing up when your family needs help.
He’s also the kind of man who’s never had a single complaint filed against him. That’s unheard of in his profession. And yet, his life is being torn apart by a deeply flawed prosecution—built on an unsubstantiated accusation that defies logic, lacks corroborating evidence, and ignores hard facts. Evan’s bail was set at $900,000. His wife paid the $90,000 cash to bring him home, and they are now over $150,000 deep in legal bills, investigator fees, and bail expenses.
Michelle, his wife, had just finished a three-year buyout of her small business in March. Their plan was simple: Evan would pick up extra work and retire next January. But those plans were destroyed overnight by a justice system that’s failing the very people who protect it.
Evan is not just a good cop—he’s a good man. He’s a father of three, a man of faith, and someone backed by his family and entire community. At his court hearings, more than 30 community leaders stood beside him. His own brother-in-law, a sergeant in the same department, remains fully in Evan’s corner—because if there were any truth to these allegations, he wouldn’t be.
I believe in accountability. But I also believe in truth—and this is not justice. Under this DA’s office, it seems anyone can say anything about a cop and destroy their life without a shred of proof. Evan’s entire career is being put on the line based on a story that doesn’t hold water.
I’m not just helping raise money—I’m putting my name on this because I know Evan. I’d trust him with my daughters’ lives. That should tell you everything.
Please consider giving. Every dollar goes directly to Evan’s legal defense and to keeping his family afloat during this nightmare. And if you can’t give, I ask you to please share this campaign and say a prayer for Evan and his family.
Let’s show this man—and every good cop out there—that we have their back when it matters most.
With gratitude,
Samuel P. Royer

Evan is a decorated law enforcement officer with nearly two decades of honorable service, a devout man of faith, husband and father of three. He is facing charges rooted in unsubstantiated allegations and prosecutorial misconduct. The Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office previously reviewed attempts by the Allentown District Attorney to prosecute Officer Krasley based on the hearsay testimony now being weaponized against Officer Weaver because Officer Weaver refused to provide false testimony against Officer Krasley. The Attorney General previously dismissed the allegation against Office Krasley as baseless, recognizing the lack of credible evidence and the reliance on the unsubstantiated claims of convicted criminals, including pimps and prostitutes seeking leniency for their own crimes. Yet, Allentown District Attorney sought to attack men in blue for what appears to be for his own political gain in a politically driven liberal district.
