Some important facts: Minnesota has over 300,000 military veterans. As of 2022, Minnesota had just under 100 veteran suicides per year. Research suggests that artistic programs lessen the effects of PTSD, Depression and Anxiety.
I am Matt. A U.S. Army Veteran and Business Owner. I have seen and experienced 1st hand the struggles that many Minnesota veterans face with physical and mental well-being. I have also realized how few Minnesota Veteran support programs there are currently. This lack of support can be devastating to Veterans. Recently, after doing a lot of soul-searching, I felt that it was time to do more to help Minnesota Veterans. Along with the help and encouragement of family and friends, I began the process of forming Combat To Creative, a Non-Profit Veteran’s Support Organization in Minnesota.
Every bit helps. The funds we collect will aid us in completing all of the required steps to obtain the ability to fulfill the mission of Combat To Creative.
The organization supports Minnesota Veterans by providing events that introduce and educate them in various artistic genres and provide the supplies, equipment and artistic tools needed to encourage creativity while supporting their physical and mental well-being through Connection, Resilience and Self-Improvement.
