Rebeccah and Jason Barnetts were involved in a head-on collision on their way into work on 06/12/2021. Jason was driving and Rebeccah was in the passenger seat. A large shipping truck was cut off and swerved into oncoming traffic hitting the Barnetts head-on at 55 MPH. The vehicle behind them also rear-ended them. Thanks to the fast help of a West Jordan Police Officer and the Utah Highway Patrol the Barnetts were airlifted to the hospital. Rebeccah suffered many internal injuries along with both of her arms broken and both legs broken in several places. Rebeccah uses a walker for assistance now. Jason suffered a head injury and both legs broken in many places. Jason was in a coma for several months. He used a wheelchair to get around now. Both of these amazing people are fighting for their lives. Please help them in any way that you can.
Rebeccah and Jason both work for the Utah Department of Corrections. They are both outstanding officers. They are the kind of people that would drop anything to help you. They have 2 children and a couple of grandkids. As their family in blue, we are trying to step up and help these amazing people in their time of need. I have had the honor of working with Rebeccah for most of the 4 years she has been with the department and for the 2 years, Jason has been here as well. I know that I can always go to them if anything needs to be done and they will do it. This couple is one of the best. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
Rebeccah and Jason need our help making their home better suited for their needs now that they are home. They need a ramp, new tub and a few other changes to accommodate Jason's wheelchair. Please help if you can.
