Facility K9 Jenny(Retired)- A Lifetime of Service...
Jenny's life has been defined by service from the very beginning. She was raised through the Puppies Behind Bars program, where incarcerated individuals helped train her to become a highly skilled service dog. Their dedication gave Jenny the foundation to change lives. At 2 years old, Jenny was partnered with a U.S. military veteran, faithfully serving for the next two years. During that time, she provided unwavering companionship, emotional support, and assistance. In 2021, Jenny began the next chapter of her remarkable career when she joined the New York City Police Department as a Facility K9. For the next five years, she responded to traumatic incidents throughout the department, providing comfort and emotional support to both uniformed officers and civilian members during some of their most difficult moments. Whether responding after critical incidents, supporting grieving families, assisting members following line-of-duty tragedies, or simply offering a calming presence during times of stress, Jenny became a trusted partner whose quiet compassion spoke louder than words. After a career devoted to helping others, Jenny's legacy is one of loyalty, resilience, and healing. She has comforted countless people throughout her life, reminding us that sometimes the greatest service comes not through words, but through the unconditional love of a devoted K9 partner.Updates

Meet Jenny and her partner about 5 years ago at a funeral my organization attended. Such a lovely experience and a great idea for a dog to be part of the NYPD. Praying she can get through this.
