Honoring the Life and Service of Firefighter Robert 'Bobby' Van Ruiten
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Firefighter Robert 'Bobby' Van Ruiten of the Stockton Fire Department. Bobby, who dedicated his life to serving the Stockton community, passed away while off-duty on January 3rd, 2025. Having joined the department in March 2021, he made significant contributions not just as a firefighter at Firehouse 3, but also as a mentor for new recruits. His journey in firefighting started long before his employment, as he volunteered in the Explorer Program and served as an Auxiliary Firefighter. Born and raised in Stockton, he previously also worked for the Woodbridge Fire Department. This fundraiser is created to support the funeral expenses for our beloved brother. Any remaining funds will be directed to his family as they navigate this difficult time. We thank you for your support and prayers during this heartbreaking moment.
