We requesting donations to offset the financial burden Jay is going through. About a year ago we noticed that our Undersheriff Jay McClure was having some medical issues. Jay went to several Doctors and they kept sending him to a different doctor because they did not know what was going on. While about two months ago he was diagnosed with ALS. If you knew Jay, he was always on the go or on the phone trying to help someone. This particular type of ALS is aggressive and started with his speech which makes it hard for him to talk and people to understand him.
Jay has been at the Murray County Sheriffs Office for 18 years and he is still the Undersheriff. Jay is the type of person if you needed help he would drop everything to help you, if he could not help you he would find somebody that would.
Jay is a father of a set of twins one boy and girl. Both kids are 14. When Jay's not at work he is always with his kids doing outdoor stuff or at ball games.
