This fundraiser is the only OFFICIAL FUNDRAISER endorsed by the Rye Brook Police Benevolent Association.
During the early hours of Thanksgiving morning on November 25th, 2021 a fire broke out in the basement of the Carroll residence in Thornwood NY in Westchester County. First responding fire department members were able to evacuate Teresa Carroll, and Connor Carroll who were asleep during the time of the fire. Sadly, Sean Carroll who was asleep in the basement, passed away at 26 years old. Sean was a firefighter with the Thornwood Fire Department. His father Richard Carroll is a member of the Thornwood Fire Department, and is a Sergeant with the Rye Brook Police Department and has served the community for over 30 years. Sean’s brother Matt is also a member of the Thornwood Fire Department and is an FDNY firefighter. In addition to the tragic loss of Sean, the Carroll’s have been displaced by the house fire. This fundraiser has been set up by the Rye Brook Police Benevolent Association in an effort to support the Carroll family during this difficult time. All funds will go directly to the Carroll family. We are humbled by the tremendous response to this fundraiser. The Carroll’s have found solace in the overwhelming support and generosity from friends, family, and the community as a whole. The messages of compassion and sympathy that have been included with the donations have truly meant a lot to them. Kathy Carroll Nobile is my sister in law. I want to help in anyway I can. I am so very saddened by the loss of her beloved nephew and pray for the entire family.
