The Foundation was created to honor and remember the life and sacrifice of our Son, friend, Brother and colleague-Captain/Deputy Chief, Sander B. Cohen-who died in the line of duty December 8, 2017. The educational scholarship exists to provide financial assistance to volunteer and career firefighters, EMT/paramedics and law enforcement officers. Awardees attend a 2 or 4 year college or university. The Foundation has awarded 27 scholarships since it’s inception in 2021.
