On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

Officers DeMonte and Hamzy tragically personify the sense of commitment and service that cost far too many police men and women their lives. These Americans deserve praise and appreciation, not the scorn and demonization of the defund-the-police crowd. I offer my profound condolences to the families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of these murdered officers. And may their killer burn in Hell in fires sufficiently blistering to forge steel.
