On October 12, 2022 Officer Alex Hamzy, Officer Alec Iurato and Sergeant Dustin DeMonte responded to a domestic disturbance call. As the three officers arrived on scene, a suspect ambushed all three officers. Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte were killed by the suspect. Officer Iurato was struck by gunfire, returned fire and killed the suspect.
This fundraiser will directly benefit Officer Hamzy and Sergeant DeMonte’s families. Thank you so much for your support.

On behalf of Detective Peter Dauphinais, this donation is a Christmas gift and thoughts for the families of Sgt.DeMonte and Officer Hamzy who both died In The Line of Duty and for the heroic actions of Officer Iurato. May these two Officers, Sgt. DeMonte and Officer Hamzy Rest In Peace and May Officer Iurato find Peace in his life. These young Officers will never be forgotten.
