Condolences to both the Demonte and Hamzy family. I was a Bristol paramedic for several years and have fond memories of running calls with Alex. He was the kind of officer every police officer should aspire to be. I did not know Demonte nearly as well, but the 2 or 3 times I did talk to him he was incredibly patient and it was obvious he cared deeply for his community and the men and women in his charge.
