Griffith Blue Heart Nonprofit is an Arizona based 501.c(3) tax exempt organization with a mission of preparing, training, and equipping law enforcement for time-sensitive medical emergencies like cardiac arrest, drug overdoses, drownings, and life-threatening bleeding. Although our predominant focus is on implementing programs for law enforcement to save lives, first responders ourselves are at up to a 70 times higher risk of heart disease with a 15-20 year less life expectancy than the public we serve.
Griffith Blue Heart Nonprofit CEO Brandon Griffith was 26 years old when an electrical malfunction in his heart caused him to drop dead off duty in front of his wife. She immediately called 911 and started CPR. A fellow officer was first on scene however, he was not equipped with an AED. He took over compressions until fire/ems arrived and were able to resuscitate him. Brandon was medically dead for over 16 minutes.
Griffith Blue Heart Nonprofit is raising funds for a one-of-a-kind event on October 21st called “Shield the Hearts”. The event will focus on first responder (and our families) heart health and raise funds for life-saving police resuscitation programs.
Griffith Blue Heart Nonprofit has teamed up with the legendary Ret. Lt. Col. Dave Grossman and “Badge Boys” TV show/Podcast host Ret. Det. Sgt. Darren Burch to put on this event at the Phoenix Embassy Suites Biltmore Hotel.
Please help us “Shield the Hearts” of the first responders who serve us and best prepare them to save lives from our number 1 cause of death, heart disease.
