Tragic Loss Of Police Officer Emilia Rennhack
Dear Blue Family, Friends and Community,
We are heartbroken to share the tragic news of the passing of 102 Officer Emilia Rennhack. Emilia lost her life in a senseless accident on June 28th, when a drunk driver crashed into the Hawaii nail salon in Deer Park, where she was getting her nails done for a colleague's wedding that night.
Emilia is the wife of 102 Squad Detective Carl Rennhack, as you can imagine this devastating tragedy has left Carl and their families gutted and in deep mourning.
Carl and Emilia’s love story was just beginning. They met & fell in love at the 102nd precinct. They recently had their dream wedding in September 2023. Their lives were filled with hopes and dreams for their future together.
In this difficult time, we are coming together and hoping you will as well, to support Carl and Emilia’s family with the unexpected funeral expenses, assist with their travel to Poland so Emilia’s family and friends in Poland can say their final goodbyes and honor her memory in the place she called home. We also want to make sure that her parents, who have already experienced more heartbreak than any parent should, are able to withstand the loss of Emilia's financial support.
Carl and Emilia had just started building their beautiful life together. They had their future ripped away from them. Any support you can provide will be deeply appreciated as Carl & the Kowalczyk family try to navigate this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Let’s come together to support and honor the memory of our friend, a wonderful young woman who was taken from us too soon.
