Thank you to everyone who has shared & sent prayer & donations. We greatly appreciate it.

After some serious & scary talks with the team of doctors they agreed to let Matt come home to heal some before his liver surgery. I am very nervous but he is much happier being able to be with our kids, pets & sleeping in our bed. I will be monitoring him at home, doing several vitals daily & the team will be checking in with me on his progress. If he has any fevers, issues that new worse or different he will have to go straight back to the hospital. He is able to eat small amounts of food at a time. He is able to take all his antibiotics & other medications in pill form now. He will have to go back for more bloodwork & testing to make sure everything is going ok but as long as his daily vitals are good they can let him do that as out patient so he can stay at home as much as possible. He will have to be admitted again for his liver surgery & possibly other surgeries for his pancreas or other organs that have ben effected by his pancreas leaking. He still has his pancreas leaking, an enlarged heart, fluid around lungs, abscess from pancreatic enzymes, his mass Julio, low liver functions, weakness, shortness of breath, fatigue & a few things but hopefully him being happy at home will make him heal faster!

Not alot to update for today. We are stuck in a waiting game where time is our enemy. They do want to get him to a point that he can be stable enough to go home while we wait a few weeks or so for his liver surgery. He has to meet certain criteria to go home but they are working to get him there. I'm not going to lie. I am terrified to take him home knowing how fast things can change with all of the issues he has going on. He still won't be able to be alone but I would have alittle more help with him so hopefully I can work some. He will still have to have the liver surgery & possibly pancreas surgery but none of that can happen for awhile. He isn't out of the woods. We need more prayers then ever. 

The docs said his scan did not look good. They was hoping they would see things clearing up but instead they found that his pancreas is still inflamed & leaking. They said it does happen sometimes & it's not something that they can or need to fix right now. He said the body usually builds a wall or cyst around the area to protect the surrounding areas. However that cyst can grow large & need additional surgery or a drain put in it later down the road. We won't know till we get to that point. He said right now things can go either way. It can start healing itself faster or it can start causing more issues. He isn't stable enough to go home or have his liver surgery He still needs to be monitored for infection & other issues. He said according to how Matt looks & acts its not a severe case but his bloodwork & scans show its a more severe acute case so he definitely has to stay here for now. They have figured out he is pretty tough & can handle more pain then most people. Now the kicker is they have to postpone the liver surgery AGAIN. They can't open him up until he pancreas is settled down or they will cause another flair up that could be worse or fatal. They can't answer me on long term issues for the pancreas or how this will effect other organs. They said they don't know until it's done doing what it's doing. At this point all we can do is monitor for other issues from the pancreatitis or liver, keep him as comfortable as possible & let his body keep fighting. They will only do surgery or intervention that is an emergency because it will make everything worse. He said it could be a couple more weeks before they can do any surgery on his liver. We was really hoping he would be on the healing side of all this & have surgery soon but instead again we have more complications

His pain was manageable last night. How pancreas levels have went up yet again & his white blood count is also rising yet again. They was planning to do a scan on Monday but they may be doing it earlier to get a better look at his pancreas & liver. Exciting news is our kids are coming to visit today. We need some hugs for sure!

I would like to thank everyone for the prayers & donations. Yesterday his pancreas numbers went up again & his liver functions are getting worse. Last night his pain increased more. It's mentally & physically draining him. He is very depressed. He is not used to staying inside. He prefers to be outside with our animals & taking a ride for some wind therapy. Please continue to pray that his pancreas settles down so they can do the surgery on his liver soon. We are missing all our kids & grandkids. Our 9 year old is in 4th grade & we are trying to keep her on a normal schedule but this is very hard on her. She wants to go home to her own bedroom & she wants her mom/dad home also. Please keep the prayers going for physical healing & for all of our mental health!
